Dynamite VSP licensing is available in two forms - standalone and network licensing.
In both cases, licensing is managed via our own proprietary license management technology (DynLM).
DynLM is our own proprietary licensing system.
DynLM uses a single port TCP/IP network connection to serve one or more Dynamite VSP licenses from a license server to any number of network based license clients. The same basic licensing components are also used in standalone licensing mode.
In order to retain full control over network traffic and security, network administrators may specify the network address on which DynLM listens. A custom protocol is used to shield DynLM from any potential malicious attacks.
Standalone licensing is the default licensing option.
This licensing method uses a license which is locked to your computer. All licensing components including DynLM are installed locally. This is the most common form of installation, which involves installing, registering, and activating each copy of Dynamite VSP separately on each workstation.
Dynamite VSP also supports network licensing (depending on the licensing option purchased).
This licensing method allows you to nominate a previously installed and configured 3am Solutions Network License Management Service (DynLM) on your network in order to share one or more Dynamite VSP licenses with other users in your organisation.
With this type of installation, individual workstations running Dynamite VSP do not require registration or authorisation. Licensing of this program is managed by a pre-configured and separate network license server.
With both the standalone and network client versions of Dynamite VSP it is possible to utilise the standard network rendering capabilities of Autodesk 3ds Max.
