Project objectives:
Provide relief from the effects of community severance caused by trunk road traffic
Provide greater opportunity for safe overtaking
Reduce the number of accidents
Improve journey time reliability
PB prepared a 3D visualisation model using a digital terrain model, aerial photography and MX ground and
design models. The output included a video showing 'drive through' and 'fly through' simulations for
all route options. This animation was available as part of the public consultation/exhibition,
along with "stills" produced at various strategic locations. In addition, a "view from my property"
facility was made available to the attendees.
