Dynamite VSP parametric rail objects are capable of representing a range of safety fences, walls and even railway tracks. These objects can be associated with any parent shape.
Rail objects are made up of three key components - a post, a brace and one or two rails.
Full control over the geometry of each of these components is provided, and the ability is also provided to disable one or more of these components. This allows the creation of evenly spaced posts only, or perhaps walls using only the rail component.
Posts can be created in one of two cross sectional profiles - "rectangular post" and "z post".
Braces can be created in one of two cross sectional profiles - "I beam" and "rectangular beam".
Rails (either single or double) can be created in one of three cross sectional profiles:
Once a series of rail object types has been defined, the associated creation parameters may be saved to a text based Rail Object
Style to provide an easy means of re-using the parameters at a later date. The syntax for rail object styles
forms part of the command language for Dynamite VSP which allows commonly used settings to be stored in text based
styles for later re-use.
Rail Object Styles may be defined interactively in the dedicated Rail Object Style Editor panel, or in any text editor or spreadsheet application. The Rail Object Style Editor allows the application of a range of rail types to be applied across a visualisation model simultaneously by associating a rail type with a series shape label masks.
