Introduction

Welcome to the Installation and Licensing Guide for ProjectExplorer 4 for AutoCAD Civil 3D .

Prerequisites

ProjectExplorer 4 for AutoCAD Civil 3D supports and requires either:

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018

Licensing

ProjectExplorer 4 for AutoCAD Civil 3D may be installed in node-locked license mode, or (if your license agreement allows) in floating network licensing mode.

The licensing technology used in this product is entirely independent of your AutoCAD license.

ProjectExplorer 4 for AutoCAD Civil 3D supports two licensing modes - standalone (SLM / local) licensing mode and floating network (NLM) licensing mode. Choose an installation procedure based on your preferred licensing mode, and the licensing terms chosen at the time of purchase.
