Floating Network (NLM) License

Step 2 - Install the License Configuration Tool

The License Configuration Tool allows the licensing mode of ProjectExplorer 6 for Autodesk Civil 3D to be switched from Standalone (node locked) Licensing mode to Floating Network Licensing mode.

This tool should only be installed on each license client if you intend to access your product license from a (pre-configured) network license server.

Start the Setup Wizard

To start the Setup Wizard, double-click the downloaded MSI file.

If double clicking the downloaded msi file does not result in a successful installation, try starting the Windows Command Prompt as an administrator and typing the following command:

msiexec.exe /i "c:\LicenseConfigTool_v3.msi" /L "c:\LicenseConfigTool_v3.log"

Note: Important: You'll need to replace both paths with your own path to the msi file. If the installation fails for any reason, the generated log file (LicenseConfigTool_v3.log) should help identify the source of the problem. In this instance, please contact us for further assistance.

The Welcome dialog is displayed.

Click "Next" to continue...

Read and Accept the Software License Agreement

Review (and optionally print) the terms of the Software License Agreement.

Check the "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" to accept the agreement and continue with the installation.

Click "Next" to continue...

Choose the Destination Folder

This dialog allows the installation folder to be set. Choose to install to the default folder or click "Change" to choose an alternative installation folder.

Proceed with Installation

This dialog provides the last opportunity to cancel the installation without making any changes to your system.

Click "Install" to proceed with the installation.

Wait whilst the Setup Wizard completes the installation process.

Close the Setup Wizard

The installation is now complete. Click "Finish" to close the Setup Wizard.
