Release History

Version 6.1.1.0 (Released 7th July 2020)

  • Fixed an issue which caused ProjectExplorer and AutoCAD to crash when the "zoom-to" or "pan-to" functions for Point Groups were used.
  • Fixed an issue which caused report headers and footers to be duplicated when saving Report Styles in the Report Options dialog.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the editable column index for site feature line point elevations to be fixed, even when a Layout Style assigned to the user interface placed the elevation column in a different position.
  • Fixed an issue in the Object Sets tab where pipe network Pipes Lists were always displayed using the Layout Style from the ProjectExplorer window, even when a different Layout Style was assigned to the Object Set.
  • Fixed an issue when placing images into Report Headers from the Report Options dialog. Previously a message would appear when cancelling out of the image file selection dialog asking whether the previously selected image should be retained, even when no previous image had been selected.
  • Fixed an issue which caused a crash when opening report files where no file association has been set in Windows for the file format being generated.
  • Fixed an issue which caused a crash when editing the elevation of cogo points where no elevation value had previously been set.
  • Fixed an issue which caused a crash when selecting pipe networks which contain pipes with invalid pipe slope or length values.
  • Fixed an issue related to the level of user privileges required to run the installer for ProjectExplorer. In Version 6.1, it was only possible to run the installer from the Windows Command Line with elevated local administrator privileges.
  • Changed the installation folder from "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\" to "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\"

Version 6.1.0.0 (Released 28th April 2020)

  • Introduced support for Civil 3D 2021.
  • Added support for angular values to be displayed, reported, and edited in GRADS. A new option was added to Layout Styles to allow Bearing Display Options to be set to GRADS, alongside the existing options of decimal degrees and degrees, minutes, seconds.
  • Added support for grade and slope values to be displayed, reported, and edited in Rise:Run and Run:Rise format. A new option was added to Layout Styles to allow Grade/Slope Display Options to be set to Rise:Run, Run:Rise, and Percent (the only previous option). In the ProjectExplorer window, any dialogs where slope or grade values can be edited now accept values in both Percent and Rise:Run formats.
  • Added a new customisable text value for showing horizontal rise:run and run:rise values in the user interface. The default text value is "Horizontal".
  • Introduced a new information pane for Assemblies which shows a list of all corridor regions that an assembly is associated with. This new sub-object information category for assemblies is also supported in outgoing reports, spreadsheets, and AutoCAD tables.
  • Added support to all "Compare To" buttons for temporary viewport highlighting (using the CTRL button). This allows you to verify which objects are being compared to the current selection in ProjectExplorer by hovering the mouse over any "Compare To" button and pressing the CTRL button on the keyboard.
  • Added support for editing the Description property for multiple Civil 3D objects. This new feature is available from the right-click menus associated with any listed items in the ProjectExplorer window.
  • Improved the performance of displaying corridor related information in the ProjectExplorer window and introduced some cosmetic changes to the way that corridor feature line points are displayed. Point indexes are now restarted from 1 after each feature line continuity break.
  • In the Alignments tab of the ProjectExplorer window, the grade value associated with any tangent entity for Layout (or Finished Ground) Profiles is now displayed alongside the entity in the Profile View window. The value is displayed in the grade/slope format which is selected from the Layout Style assigned to the ProjectExplorer window (rise:run, run:rise, or percent).
  • Removed the unintended sanitization of TITLE CELL values for AutoCAD tables. These values were previously being incorrectly stripped of any characters which were considered illegal for file naming purposes.
  • Added {Object_Name} to the available list of variables for building TITLE CELL values for AutoCAD tables. This variable was previously supported but was not included in the dropdown list of supported variables.
  • Resolved an issue where the number of subassemblies for a given assembly in the Object Set Details tab was always zero.
  • Resolved an issue in the Object Sets Details tab where profile related parameters were not included in the list of calculated stations for profiles.
  • Fixed some issues with the display of offset baseline related content in the ProjectExplorer window.
  • Fixed a series of issues with site feature line points when displayed in the ProjectExplorer window, including ensuring that the elevation of the last point on a closed feature line cannot be edited, correcting some inconsistencies in the point count for site feature lines, and fixing a number of issues with editing point elevations.

Improvements are particularly noticeable when working with complex pipe networks, alignments, surfaces and point groups.
  • New Alignment Station/Offset Comparison Tools
  • We have introduced a new set of dynamic reporting tools allowing the location of cogo points, feature line points, parcel segments, and AutoCAD block references to be compared with any Civil 3D alignment or profile in terms of station (chainage), offset and elevation. These tools may be used to generate reports, tables and spreadsheets, or can be used in a live context within the ProjectExplorer window where Civil 3D design changes are reflected dynamically in the results.
  • New Surface Elevation Comparison Tools
  • We have introduced a new set of dynamic reporting tools allowing the elevations of profiles, point groups, feature lines, parcels, pipe runs, sample lines, and AutoCAD block references to be compared with the elevation of any Civil 3D surface. These tools may be used to generate reports, tables and spreadsheets, or can be used in a live context within the ProjectExplorer window where Civil 3D design changes are reflected dynamically in the results.
  • Multiple Selection Support
